Anyone that met Ann will testify she was a one off, a character and a tour de force. Once met never forgotten. Her vivid trade mark red hair reflected her ‘get it done’ attitude, she was a straight talker with the biggest heart of gold. She made a massive contribution to the film world and provided children and chaperones on too many film projects to count.

Ann’s path to Casting Agent was an unusual one, she started life as a Synchronised swimmer in the Bournemouth summer show in the 1950’s, ran a casino in the 70’s and 80’s before joining the team at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead in the mid 80’s, initially to help out with admin for the casting team. Here she learned the trade and became known by many in the industry. Ann loved theatre and Musicals and one of her favourite jobs was looking after a young actress on Les Miserables.

Ann realised there was more work out there than one theatre school could handle so set up her own agency with offices in Pinewood studios. AKA Ltd (Ann Koska Agency Limited). Her Film credits span every major franchise from Harry Potter to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the years she has enabled ten’s of thousands of children to be part of the film and entertain world, seen that they were safe and cared for as well as seeking work for her team of loyal chaperones and tutors.

Sadly in 2020 Ann was diagnosed with Cancer and soon moved to Devon to live close to her son Marc and his lovely family. She passed away peacefully in March 2022.

Ann loved 4 legged creatures much more than the 2 legged kind, she was cheeky, fun loving and at one time fast living. She was an amazing agent loved and equally feared by many and also a very very lovely friend.
